I am a catholic so I believe the world was created by God but their must be a logical answer to when the world was created.

The consensus among scientists is that the world is 4.5 billion years old. On the other hand there is a minority of scientists, called young earth scientists, who state that the earth is less than 15,000 years old.

Not Billions of years ago. I Believe the Bible and the Storys in it. So I think God made the Heavens and Earth Millions not billions of years ago. Pick up the bible and read the first fewchapters of Genisis

It didn't have a clear cut beginning, it was built up from dust orbiting the sun billions of years ago. The 'dust' that it came from was exploded out of probably at least two generations of stars since the projected beginning of this universe 13.7 billion years ago.
