Punch Drunk love was my favorite.
It took the extremes that Sandlers charater usaully display such as quite utterings followed by loud violent yelling and put them within a realistic framework... and created not a paradoy but a real human.

waterboy by far i worked with some cajun guys on a ship and a few had same personally traits as characters in the movie. In one guy i teased about eating squirrel brains he said "I don't but my mama does!" hehehe
