Final Italy - Brazil

This is the most open World Cup for a long time and I don't think predictions will help (unless you know someone with a genuine crystal ball!). Italy won't find things easy against the Ukraine and Argentina were shown to be far from infallible against Mexico. Brazil have not been tested so far and are so confident that they are playing the overweight and under fit Ronaldo so that they can have the kudos of the tournaments highest ever scorer, but their defence has looked suspect when under pressure. The Germans appear to have the most potent strike force and must be in with a shout having home advantage and England are yet to fire on all cylinders, but have some of the best players at the moment. I really wouldn't risk putting my money or my mouth on any individual team, I just hope it's one that has a bit of flair and not a dour solid defencive side, that make the game look duller than watching paint dry.

The final is going to be Argentina vs England so I'd say that Argentina have a better chance than Italy.

If Italy win than its only because they are still paying referees, given that penalty not penalty against the USA. Argentina looked pretty shy against Mexico, where did all those flashes of inspiration go from the earlier games. Brazil, those guys would appear to be playing for the money, but cleverly play to the ability of their oponents. Saving their energy.

England havent won all their games..... sweden 2-2?, but in any case would hardly describe their wins as "comprehensive". 6 -1 is comprehensive (one of the Eng commentators reckoned this would be the score against TNT, but 2-0 was fair), but then again getting a goal from your opponent's mistake could confirm that Sven's men are comprehensively lucky (paraguay). Keep bumming your team up. The more you guys gear yourselves up for the big win, the more disappointed you'll be when it doesn't happen.

Ghana, Portugal and the Ukraine as perceived underdogs could provide some real shockers here, and I sincerely hope they do..... so to each of them, do your best to prove me wrong here........It wil be a Germany Brazil final. and Brazil might just pull it off, if Ronaldo can keep off the pies.

Darren, Italy will win the World Cup Academy Award for Best Actors. I have watched the Italian team in World Cups since 1986 and they, Argentina and Brazil act the most. I hate that lack of sportsmanship. It is a form of deceit and dishonesty. THE TOTAL OPPOSITE OF THE IDEALS OF SPORT. I played a match in Belgium in defence and the Italian forward I was minding did a dive without being touched by me. He got the penalty. His team didn't win, and he LOST in a much bigger way -NO ONE CAN RESPECT THAT BEHAVIOUR IN A SPORTSMAN
I just hope whoever wins the World Cup does so fairly.

Clearly not the cheating, bribing diving scumbags that are the Italians, the only reason I wouldn't like them banned from all tournaments is because I enjoy watching teams like South Korea and hopefully Ukraine destroy that annoying sense of superiority, many Italian newspapers described the possibility of Australia beating them "inconcievable". Italy have also had a total of 9 yellow cards and two reds in four games including some of the most cynical/unnecassary fouls in the tournament so far (De Rossi's elbow springs to mind, he even had the cheek to complain), not to mention the fact they don't even deserve to be still in the tournament after an extremely bad penalty decision against Australia (who had impressed me). So to actually answer the question, out of those two its got to be Argentina. Before reporting abuse please let me back up anything I've said here, if I haven't already.

Lol.England is going to win the cup.
Ur Argentina and Italy are very weak team.
Argentina was not even able to beat a weak team Mexico in full 90 minutes and we all know how Italy won their game yesterday. In comparision to this,England have won each game very comprehensively.

-----------COME ON ENGLAND----------

Italy should never have gone through. It was never a penalty! What do you mean about England.......stolen? It was a great free kick by DB. Anyway, neither of the above, I reckon it will be an England v Brazil final but I couldn't call it!

Italy will win, because as ever they will bribe the officials. It's not like they don't have a record of it. Match fixing in serie A, last minute penalties a frequent occurence. Hmm, I smell a fish.

More than likely Argies though. Us English look awful, the Brazilians look lazy. The Portugeuse are all crippled or banned.

Secretly I'm still rooting for Ghana!!!

england have struggled and had a relatively easy draw so far. they havent won anything in 40 years because there team just isnt good enough. they do have good players, no denying that but they cant compare to the bigger nations.

i think germany argentina brazil and portugal are the favorites for this tournament. maybe spain might sneak through to win.
