Go for it. You do not really need any experience to start as a junior. After 2 yeats of SAP experience your market value will be much higher.

If you are a person living in chennai you can contact the Siemens which is opposite to Park hotel. They say the course fee is aroung 2.5 Lakhs. There are some other places which gives low cost training.
If you want to learn SAP you will into either technical part or Functional part. Getting into functional part you need to have work experience in any domain ( heard you should have 4 yrs of Expe).
And to other side technical, you should either have 6 months exp. in a software concern or you should be knowing the software languages. You are a IT engineer so you can do it priya. Hey you know I like your name very much that was my ex girl friends name.

SAP(System Application Product) : Ur having degree in IT, so doing SAP will be valuable,currently a lot of requirement in development and Administration of SAP.
