I'd be interested to know if there are others who would be genuinely ill served if DST were to be halted.

No. I live in Arizona and we do not change our clocks. There is no real reason to. I selfishly think the rest of the country should follow suit.

I work construction and we need to make use of all the day light that we can. When working in or around subdivisions we can't start until 7:a.m. DST helps make sure it is sunny at 7. Plus you also get an extra bar hour once a year. The gov's reason for DST is the amount of energy saved by not needing artificial lighting .

I'd personally like to see everything associated with time measurement be changed to a metric system. To answer your question I would think that it would be a massive change to undertake as all businesses would have to alter their record keeping and chronological methods. It would be difficult for most people to adjust to it, but I don't anticipate any harm if it were to be realized.

It was a stupid concept and still is. If you want more daylight when you get off work then go to work earlier.

the benefits are we changed the batteries in our smoke alarms at these times.
