Dell notebooks are cheap, I believe they start at $499. I've never owned one, so I can't attest to the quality.

i think you should not go for on line buying because see one thing is that they are not cheap. and another thing is that you don't know weather it is good or not. and if it is good then well and good. but you get a defective piece then :(. so i think you should buy from some who you know. because if anything problem then you can go directly to the person face to face and deal directly. and no wast of time.
