No, music is just some really awesome mixtures of sounds and vocal harmonies. That's all it is.

Music at least good music comes from the soul. A piece of the composer goes into the music/lyrics they write. It is a very personal process. It is also hard to let go as it's like giving birth to a child when you write a piece. Hard to look at it objectively but you must. It is also hard to say it's grown up enough for others to listen to it and consider it a whole peice of music fully grown.

Music starts with a mood, a sensation a feel or an intuition. Sure some folks can make noise. One reason I hate rap as it's so sterile of feeling except for the "vocals". The technology is used to make the backgrounds. The vocals lack a range of expression so all of the expression is forced into the lyrics themselves. Words are such a poor way to comunicate though. It is so very difficult to speak with one's soul and have such a weak device as words to express such meanings and emotions. Music and dance are so much better ways to express something so intense or complex or wonderfull. There are not the walls you find with lyrics. The requirement to rhyme or even make sense is gone. It just has to flow with what you are trying to express.

So yes music is an expression of very deep meaning in most genres. Musak is to strip all meaning from somebodies expression to make it dull enough to play in an elevator or be background music on a rap song.

absolutely. Music calls out for us to fulfill our potential, makes us laugh, makes us cry. Music calls out to us to be the best we can be. Its even the difference that can make what's supposed to be a terrifying scene in a movie terrifying or just plain boring. Music can move people like nothing else. Music's almost human.

Most definitely! Music comes out from the depths of someones soul and it can touch us in the same way it touched it's creator only if we resemble him in many ways. Also, we like the lyrics if they speak about something that is meaningfull and important for us, as it was for it's writer. For example, most of my friends who listen to rock are very much alike, especially in their opinions and in their way of thinking.

absolutely! music effects every emotion we have....and it enhances our feelings too. if we are singers dancers or perform to/with anything musical then it's an expression of ourselves to the point of it being part of us when we perform. and even when we are not.
