Every person has rights. I find that most people pick and choose what they believe in. Example, the death penalty, do gays have the right to be together, does one country have the right to invade another country etc., etc.. Most believe their opinion is the right one.
The bible was written by man.(neither God nor Jesus wrote it personally ) It has been interpreted by man as to its meaning.( add into that that various books have been dropped out of it, and it has been changed, King James version is an example)) Who is to say in truth just what the bible really did say in it's original form and language.
I do believe in a higher power, just not one that teachs us to hate those who are different for what we are personally.
Marriages fail these days because so many people do not work at keeping the relationship going. I know a young couple who got married and 3 months later divorced. Why? They didn't stop to think what the relationship involved. He worked at a job where he travelled around the world. She worked in a job in the city where she lived. He was gone most of the time. They both found they could not stay committed to a relationship when they seldom saw each other.. I've seen other relationships end because he liked being with his buddies and she was left on her own. A relationship where all she wanted to do is party and he wanted to build for their future. There are circumstances when a divorce is warranted, abuse etc.
As for the sex before marriage part. How many people chose to ignore that one while emphatically stating that gays are an abomination. Pick and choose. Thats what we do. Who says being gay is a bigger sin than sex before marriage?
This is a very interesting essay you have to write.. Theese are not nessesarily my opinions, just thought provoking comments, I hope.
Excuse the spelling mistakes, spell check isn't working.

Gays and lesbians can do whatever it's not like it's hurting me any. Why is it a sin to hunch while on the rag tho? Do you think God really cares if my man gets sticky, I don't think so. Sex before marriage for me was an important thing. I had to know if my man could do for me what I needed him to do and there is nothing wrong with that. I did not want to get stuck with a man who didn't make my body feel anything. I'm having fertility problems with my husband that we knew about before we got married. Are you saying that I should just live in a hole somewhere and die because you say so. Do your paper and remember this Real People can't always be defined and fit into simple molds that others make up for them . We all have to live the best way we can and we don't need smart *** people giving us crap for it!!

All gays and lesbians should be treated by psychiatrists. You see, allowing gay marriages means you are comparing their blooy assholes to a vagina.(It is gay activists who say that either you are straight or gay like either you are left handed or right handed ). But vagina is a creation by nature for the reproduction of the species and asshole is to exert your body wastes. So, if you have one hole and some another one is ready to screw it, it doesn't mean that you both are a pair, because it is not meant for the purpose.

The reality is that gay rights are a socially extended contract. Some political subdivisions have said yes, many others have said no. There is no political imperative for gay rights.

Yes I believe that gays, straight, or bi-sexual's should all have rights. If they want to get married, they should be able to. It should not be anyone else's business at all. Once you turn 18, you should be able to marry the love of your life, no matter who it is.

Everyone has a right to love and be loved and I feel everyone has a right to be married to whomever they wish! My brother in law married his guitar...nothing in the bible about that!! hehe! (btw, they are very happy together and live on a beach in Mexico!) The bible was written by man....God wants us to be happy and to be LOVED. I am a minister, if this helps support my answer.

Such terms as "on the rag" makes me not take you very seriously. If you were to have a some what intelligent argument then you might be able to persuade more people.

yes. I'm straight, but find gays very trustworthy. I'd rather have a gay baby-sit my kid because they probably have respect for life cosidering they can't make any new life. :p
One thing I really hate though is that gays can have a gay pride month and straights can't. : (
