The word "love" is thrown around so loosely nowadays. I'd like to know how many of you still believe that love is real. Can anyone present any kind of evidence to back this up?

love is real, just elusive...i felt it once and if the world had fallen away and i still had the one i loved, i wouldn't have cared but he's gone and i am left with the world

There is no physical evidence of LOVE. Love is a feeling (an emotion). I agree with you. People do use it so loosely. I personally believe "Real" Love do exist. It is just like the saying "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Who's to say what beautiful really is. Just like love; It is the people involved. How do we know what they really have in their heart? There are people who are married for 50 years and argued and been through infidelity and you name it but they choose to stay together and work it out. That is LOVE. Love is unconditional, love is blind and love even hurts sometimes. But most of all LOVE is compromise and sacrifice.

You, my dear is i guess enough to be a big evidence!!! If you don't agree then try think the reason why you still exist even to this date? The very reason why you still woke up today alive is because of LOVE!!! hope you got what i mean.

The heart is the only true answer to that question. I understand your concern, but I will say, I only use the blessed-accursed word "love" when I mean it from MY heart. No exceptions.

I believe. I just came back from a cruise, there were a couple celebrate their 65th anniversary, you can tell, they love and care each other very very much. THAT IS LOVE, THAT IS HOPE.

I like to say, I know I love my husband because I haven't smothered him to death in his sleep with a pillow.
