I've noticed that American football and soccer (futbol) have striking similarities. In both games you can tackle. In both games you can foul. In both games you can kick a field goal. One of the differences is that in American football, if a player is hurt, he is hurt for real--broken legs, ankles, neck, arms, etc.

As an American, I would like to see a points barrier on the field similar to basketball. If a goal is kicked from a certain part of the field, it can score 2 points instead of just 1. From farther away, 3 points instead of two.

But anyway, American football is faster paced and rougher than soccoer (in my opinion).

Well when you think about it you are on your feet the entire time you are on the field. Also ***UNPROVEN THEORY*** Americans want to rule everything, they couldnt stand that Futbol was the #1 sport of the world so they came up with a rival and called it Football and Futbol became Soccer, YOU BASTARDS

You use your feet a lot actually......you have to run, kick the ball, and swiftly move.
