Me! But add religion to that list as well.

Money is anonymous, that's why the government it trying to abolish it. Also until recently you were entitled to be paid in cash, to avoid employers fiddling you, (the Truck Laws). That's been abolished, now we can all be forced to have bank accounts, I wonder why? Also money is sometimes the "cleanest" way of transacting a deal, such as washing your dad's car for cash (preferabl;y up front). It has also been described as the Poor Man's Credit Card, since if you can't get credit and you are overdrawn at the bank, you can still operate using cash. If money was around they would have to invent it, after all who would want to trade a yacht for ten elephants?

Money is nothing more than a note that shows value in Gold. If we didn't have money, it would just be something else we exchanged for products and goods. There will always be some form of money. It's when people use money for power that it becomes tarnished. Still without it, those types of people would still find ways to hurt others. The absence of money alone would help nothing.

Don't you mean worst off ?. Or do you mean we all work for free ? Free food, free housing, free clothes, free entertainment
free transportation or what will you use instead of money ?
Would we go back to barter ? If money was to be abolished have you worked out any other system that would make everyone happy ?

well this is only possible if human culture as we know it is demolished and reconstructed on the basis of equality. We were brought up on survival and self preservation; so greed, envy, and lust (only remotely) are born from the that we have materials we obtain for ourselves that another does or cannot have. For example money. But yes it would be better. The entire human race would probably develop at a much, much, much slower rate though

I would agree if there was any guarantee that everyone would pitch in and do their part. Unfortunately money is the only realistic way of keeping score on your contribution v your wants or needs.
Without the ability to gain extra credit (in whatever form) nobody would take any risks in business. Even if you go to a barter system it is still a de facto financial system, its just the currency has changed form.

Correction Amy its the 'love of money that is the root of all evil'. If anybody here has a problem with money just hand it over to me I can think of a few things that I can do with it. Besides I am sure there are a few places around the world where the extra would be appreciated.

The reverse is true; we are better off with mint as a measure of exchange of goods; it is much easier to transfer money in terms of buying and selling, compared to exchange of goods/goods like in the olden times. I think so
