Yes reffing has been awful not only in the four Aussie games but also in a lot of others. Most notably the Portugal Netherlands game which was a new low point in FIFA World Cup history.

Portugal was much damaged by the ref, with yellow-carded players into next game. Italy's penalty was invented. More and more I'm convinced that for economical reasons (full stadia) the countries more close to Germany have an easier way into the final stages.

No. :-) The Italy-Australia match hurts because of its timing. But bad calls were made against both teams in Italy and Australia, as well as many of the other matches (namely Portugal vs. Netherlands). Player falls = always a foul or a card?? Bah!

yp reerres are not doing here homework class work whatever well, never know that this match would have been in favour of Aussies.
Neways eveything is fair in love and War. But believe me italy is in a mess with its top 6 players with a yellow card each.. God know how will they perform in Quarters.

This was wrong !Absolutley wrong decision by the refree!
The Italians created a drama out there! They should win the OSCAR award for acting!! It wasnt the Aussie's fault!!!!
The refrees have already taken many studid decisions in this world cup!
I think they should get a better system of judgement!!!!!

well, what should I answer? or.. maybe not :P
anyway, I really think a ref is only a human too :)
what can human do? fair? no... human can't do things fairly.
FIFA gave the ref, their trust, they belief the ref can do well leading every single match they're on.
life is just like that, it's a chance, take it, or gave it :) stop arguing fair and not fair. but, take chances or not taking them.
