I applied for the viza to canda in september2004,but I still have
not got the viza.When would I get the viza?

Check the citizenship and immigration canada website for historical processing times for different visa posts, some posts are notoriously long (as in several years) to process an application from beginning to interview stage:

You have the right to ask about the status of your application ONLY after the processing time for your visa post has passed e.g. the post in Colombo takes 58 months to process 80% of applications... you may only inquire and they will only answer your inquiry if 58 months has passed. Otherwise don't bother inquiring. Check the link to see how long your particular visa post takes.

You should have certainly go the visa by now...is there anyway you can call and check the status of your visa. Also, it depends on which country you're applying from.

it depends, did u applied by ur self or did u hire a lawyer. if u hired a layer u should ask him but if u applied alone u will face some problems
