oh wow! my friend was just raped a few weeks back....and i've been sexually assaulted in my life. let me tell you straight from the heart that it is NOT the girls fault. it is never the woman's fault....no matter what clothes she wears, whether she's alone or whether she comes off "flirty" or "slu tty"....it's NEVER anyone's fault that another forces themself on you. i've heard it's my fault that a guy made me do stuff. bs. it's HIS fault.

Good Boy, its like this.. At a glance it is not the girl's fault.. I too think that when a girl is abused, it is clearly not her fault.. But it depends on how you're abused and by whom you're abused. For example, if a 16 year old girl gets pregnent by a 22 year old guy (say her boyfriend), people would point their finger at the guy but the main influence behind this could be the girl's willingness to have sex with him in the first place...People still call this an abuse ( I'm just talking about a different side of the story so girls, please don't get pissed at me) This is not always the case.. The guy, on the other hand, should be careful enough not to get a 16 year old moinor pregnent but it all depends on their feelings and they should both be able to control their born instincts. But if the girl's is really young and abused by someone she does not like or does not know well, it is TOTALLY the man's fault. Or, if the girl's is being pushed or threatened to have sex without her will, it is clearly an abuse.. If the girl's willingness is not present at the moment she's having sex, then it's clearly wrong. In that sense, a girl has a major responsibility to decide whether or not to have sex.. Else, you can't put all the blame on the guy because it is less likely that a guy would like to miss an opportunity to have sex with a girl he likes..

I am concerned as to why you are asking that! The answer is always NO! I cannot stress this enough. If there is someone in your life who has gone thru this, please be there and support this person- perhaps help them seek some counseling if it hasnt already been done. When ANYONE is sexually abused - male or female- it is never ever ever their fault. No matter what the abuser or anyone else has said. Never ever ever.

you've got some quite silly answers here, suggesting she might be 'asking for it' if she dresses 'inappropriately' and while I agree women need to take every precaution necessary to protect themselves against sexual attacks, as far as I am concerned, a woman could walk down the street butt naked, it still doesn't give any man the right to assault her. Men need to learn self control in situations like that, and not put the blame on their victims by blaming her clothing (or lack of)
And whoever said girls are never to blame, but women might be, go away and grow up. No woman, regardless of age should ever have to be accountable for a sexual attack on themselves.

When a girl is abused it is definitely NOT HER FAULT! When a woman is abused, it might be. There's a difference between a girl and a woman. But it usually gets blamed on the man. Be strong, stop when she says, "Stop," and get real.
Sue B... Agreed. James Bond's a dumbass.

Of course not! A girl is never responsible for the actions of her abuser. Even if a woman is naked in bed with a someone who is about to put a condom on and she suddenly says no, she hasn't done anything wrong. She has clearly indicated that she doesn't want to have sex, and if anyone forces her to, they deserves to be punished.

no..but there is things girls can do to try to prevent it. Like dressing appropriately. In my case I was 15 at a college party. Not my fault but at 28 I now see it could of been prevented had I been in home in bed where my guardians thought I was! Another precaution is a gun. Shoot the prick off!!

usually not. Sometime I guess the girl could have been being really mean and teasing or something but it's still not right for her to be abused, even if it is her fault

in most cases not. but in some cases some girls give signals that they would want to, although they don't, just so they feel their power over some men... at the end, after they've had their fun, they reveal their true desires, or actually undisires, and that's when the man could react in a very negative way...
but as i said, in most cases it's not the girl's fault, but the criminal's inability to control his instincts

Yes !! It's girls fault because..why we treat girl as poor entity which need Sympathy to prove that if she is abused. Even though she is innocent ppl are gonna make different kind of talks. Let her give strenght to fight her own. and support her rather then asking if she is real innocent...
