I suggest that you should ask her what she really needs. She's a teen already isn't it. However, give her some options ie inviting her friends for a bbq party in one of the holiday resort (you can also see who are all her friends too), open a bank account for her with your 800$ and hopefully that will spurce her to continue saving, go for a short trip and spend more quality time with her coz in times to come, she may not have the time for you already.

whew, that is a lot of money. she probably has everything she needs already.
how about an EXPERIENCE, not a physical item
Party with all her friends
Weekend with you in city of her choice Paris/London/Madrid
Dinner at the Ritz for her and a friend
The best seats at a show/concert
perhaps there is something she believes in that she would like you to give money to. The Diane Fossey Gorilla Fund or something else worthwhile.

The best birthdays my girls said they ever had were the sleep over parties. I know it sounds corny but they loved it . Movies pizza soda . Tell everyone to bring all their make-up they can trade out and give each other tips just one of the things I planned. This won't cost you a fortune either.

You should have her a nice skating party of something. Better yet, since she's at the teenage years, why dont you let her have a sleepover and take them to the mall. And overall jsut have a fun day with them.

I think you should go for a belly dance theme It wont cost that much at all. You can search a costume shop. Or a luau they are really fun to have...the best place to go for party supplies for the luau would be Party City or partycity.com.

i saw a show on tv that he's a party planner.you can find any party planner than discuss with him what you really need for your daughter's birthday party...she's big enough,so you can call her favourite artist to come by at her party for the surprise..i guess she'll like that...gud luck :)
