Why are extreme liberals in this country deteremined to bring it down?

They are such idiots when they talk of disarming our military. If it not were for the military of this country, we would have been enslaved a 100 years ago. Liberals are nothing but cowards, who would not even fight to protect their own children and this country. The very country ( and military ) who affords them the opportunity to spew the cowardly garbage they mouth everyday. They hate the very hand that gives them that very freedom.

Liberals, you are all cowards and spineless, and I hate the fact that good American soldiers have to die for the likes of you chicken shits.

Probably for the same reasons that extreme conservatives are trying to erode the personal liberties and freedoms that define what this country's ideals have been since its founding. I don't think the extremes on either side are adding much to constructive debate because it's become all about "winning" and not about a serious examination of the country's problems and the best way to solve them. It's very difficult to understand what someone's saying when they're screaming in your ear. Simply because someone has a different point of view than I do doesn't make them stupid or unpatriotic. I think both extremes, all of us for that matter, would benefit from a little dose of humility and the realization that simply because we believe in something strongly, there is still the possibility that we may be wrong. It is very difficult to learn anything when you already know everything.

Liberals do not actually intend to bring the country down. They are simply wrong about certain basic facts of human nature and economics.

Liberals believe that human beings are born essentially good and noble, and that society and its institutions corrupt people and make them behave in selfish ways. The one giant exception is the government: It doesn't really make sense, but somehow to a liberal the government (grandest institution of them all) is actually our best hope for justice and equality. And, even though Liberals think humans are generally good, they can't be trusted with money: They government has to handle all the money problems.

One implication of these thoughts is that capitalism is bad because it makes people selfish. This is completely turned around from what the conservative or libertarian thinks, which is that capitalism is good because it accepts the fact that people are by nature self-interested and takes advantage of this.

The liberal belief in the good and noble human makes liberals think that war is not really necessary: The military is merely an institution that teaches people to kill and that it is okay to attack another group of people. Liberals think that by dismantling the military, and by being more or less harmless, that others will follow suit (being essentially good-natured) and the world will have peace -- if only the mean men in business suits and uniforms would stop corrupting us.

This is utter nonsense, and even non-Christians like myself can see that humans are deeply flawed creatures and that we need our institutions and lots of self-discipline and self-sacrifice to attain good things.

We also need weapons and people who are trained to use them. Intelligent people know that talking and being generally harmless is not enough to ensure your own life, liberty,and property.

In fact, being harmless is not the same as being good. Liberals think this: They think that if you don't hurt anyone you are good. Most of the time that just makes you a coward. Sometimes hurting people is the right and noble thing to do -- e.g., Bin Laden, Al Zarqawi, Hitler, just about anyone in the Nazi S.S.

Liberals don't like the United States because the United States is BASED on the idea that humans are flawed and self-interested. The United States is BASED on the idea that government is a necessary evil that must be limited as much as possible. The USA is also based on the idea that individuals should make their own economic decisions. These are all terrible propositions to the liberal mind.

So you see, what makes a liberal is not wicked intent but incorrect ideas about the world. We must show them the error of their ways and not just provoke them by telling them they are trying to kill us. They WILL get us all killed if they take over our government, but they don't mean to.

Our country, which sends those soldiers to make the ultimate sacrifice, had better have a good plan for the war and the peace. Hope for the best and plan for the worst....or is that too simple for you to grasp.

What did Rummy, Rice, Cheney and W do? Planned for the best and called it a day.

American soldiers were asked to die based on purposeful misleading and forged intel. They were sent without all training and accouterments they'd need to come back alive. Do you think having our guys digging through junk piles, savaging for armor is remotely appropriate? Yes...Democrats will spend money on things that matter. You got me on that one.

Rummy said, "You don't go to war with the Army you want, you go to war with the army you have." If it is a preemptive war...it IS the army you want. What an insult to our men and women in uniform!!!

first of, no american soldiers would have to die in the first place if the good ol' republican boys wouldn't have declared war on iraq, afghanistan, abstract nouns like terror etc. etc. You have to agree with me, no? No war, no problem!

second, i must mention that i am not a citizen of the states, but that i admire them, or at least the principles and people behind them.

anyway, you're probably right, there are some liberals who don't understand liberalism and piss off everybody by just being in contradiction with everything. those really are annoying. as are the people in the other extreme, wormongers and people who would see americans release all their freedoms in exchange for "supposed" secuirty and direct-to-brain corporate marketing.

but as a wise man said once : "walk the middle path". i don't think liberals want to see america down as much as conservatives want to see it down. it's their country as well, and you all want what's best for it. sometimes this differs from what the other people think it's best for it. you think that by attacking possible threats you provide security for the country. they think that by just leaving them alone and not interfearing you'll reach the same goal ...

Why are Bush's two lazy daughters neither working, nor studying, nor wearing a uniform? mooching off of my taxes? ... and the rest of the republican congressional offspring... why aren't they in uniform? Tell you why: Because there are gullible people like you out there who believe they're doing something for the country when in fact, they do nothing but the dirty work for those in power.

Tell you what... a human life is worth 250,000 bucks. Yep.. didn't know that, did you. Take that times 2,000 and that's still cheaper than paying for a one day oil supply for the country. Think about that, if you can.

First off, there are very few 'extreme liberals' in this country, so few that they have no power whatsoever to affect any real government policies.

There are many you would call 'liberal' because they expect our government to be held accountable for it's own actions, to be honest and open to all points of view.

But many of these so-call 'liberals', people who care about human rights, women's rights, etc., also have served in our military. Trust me, my friend, there are a hell of a lot more 'liberals' serving our country than there are people like Dick and Rush.

Most Americans are a little bit of both, conservative on some points and more liberal on others. Most Americans simply want to get by, pay their bills and, hopefully, own a house.

The 49% of the country who did not vote for Bush are not 'extreme liberals' but simply people who chose not to support him or his agenda.

Why do you think his public rating is the lowest of any president sense they started taking polls?

If is not the 'extreme liberals' who are pulling his numbers down but a majority of Americans who are tired of the BS.

All of the generals who disagree with him are not cowards, are they? I served two tours in Nam and one in Granada. Am I a coward because I want him to stop giving away the country, to stop sending us into debt?

By the way, jerk, there were 'liberals' in my outfit in Nam, people who were very willing to lay their lives on the line to protect us. Just like there are 'liberals' at my VFW lodge and at the VA where I now work. I personally would take one of them to be by my side on patrol than a hundred people like you.

Liberals started preaching Socialism/Communism back in the 60's. They have taken the machiavellian approach of a 5th column. Which is to tear the government down form the inside out. They want a socialist country and they are determined to do anything to get it. Liberals are really just Communists in sheeps clothing. Hey Dick Wad thousands upon thousands of Liberal Americans fought and died in Vietnam for absolutely nothing. Furthermore you could count the dead Neocons from Vietnam on your hands and toes! For one thing you scardy cats pretended to be homosexuals or shot yourselves in the limbs to avoid the draft, and secondly because you have a full set of digits, something many Democratic liberal, peace loving Vietnam Veterans have not! One of the differences between us (like in U.S.) and you ( like in you lie) is that the Liberals who died and fought for your right to speak your sedated mind , they learned something about initiating conflicts and that is if America would abide by the laws set forth, there would be no need for weapons, and if America didn't produce, promote , and provide weapons to other countries, those countries would not even consider taking arms against us!
