I have heard that it is important to correctly position one penis inside the underwear as it effects its shape and direction in erected position any one knows the correct way to do that ...

Don't believe everything you hear. The main thing is to be comfortable engaging in your usual activities. Besides, it isn't the position of the penis that's critical, it's those 2 nuts that can cause you lotsa pain if they are riding wrong.

it depends on what you're wearing. if you're wearing boxer shorts, any position will do, upward or downward. but if you're wearing tight brief or bikini, downward position is not comfortable especially during erection. i used to wear brief or bikini brief, i position mine in upward. i tried to position downward, oh my god, not comfortable when erect. you have to secretly position upward. now i'm using boxer shorts, any position will do, if erection comes, no worry to position upward or downward.

ussually when i`m wearing bikini brief, i always put it down, cause every time i put up it still go down
when i`m wearing boxer brief i put down also cause it`s loose
