Generally speaking, you're going to have to find a bigger bank to exchange the money. Think Chase, ABN-AMRO subsidiaries, Citibank, HSBC, American Express.

It ain't going to be cheap. Generally speaking, American banks charge $2.50 or 1% fee on top of a 5-8% differential from the interbank rate. (This means that the price they buy the currency at is significantly less than the rate that they get from other banks.)

Worst to worst, you can go to the airport and get an even worse rate.

Your exchange rate will probably suck at a bank. I suggest checking the money changers at your nearest international airport, they might have a better rate.

Yep, any bank should exchange it.. I wish I could go to Canada..but I am stuck in Texas!
