Perhaps you mean Battersea Power Station, the one which appeared on the cover of the pink Floyd album 'Animals' and is being converted into an entertainment centre.
Another power station, bankside was converted into a gallery - the Tate modern.

Lots Road Power Station was a coal-fired power station adjacent to the River Thames in Lots Road in London, England which supplied electric power to the London Underground system.
Completed in 1905, it was claimed at that time to be the largest power station ever built and would eventually power most of the railways and tramways in the Underground Electric Railways group. The station was re-equipped on several occasions and from the mid-1960's ran on gas, with the option of oil firing the boilers if required. The station latterly worked in conjunction with the ex London County Council Tramways power station at Greenwich to supply the London Underground network.

Do you mean the Tate Modern gallery? This was converted from a big power station into a brilliant art gallery quite a few years ago now. It's on the embankment in London, just off the Millenium Bridge. Hope this helped.

Battersea power station
It's been derilict for 15-20 years and despite numerous ideas and plans, nothings actually being done with it. Being a listed building it cant be knocked down, but funding to renovate into anything continually fails..

That would be the old power station.
Battersea Power Station to be exact.
It is a listed building, so there have been loads of problems getting the authorisation to do things to it - they have been talking about a renovation for years.
Fingers crossed though, because it could be GREAT !!
