Michael Crichton. His actual life and mine parallel. Imagine a brilliant medical student tells his parents he'd rather write sci-fi novels. There goes the med school graduation party....but his first story became the mega hit "The Andromeda Strain" and fully paid back his student loans.

Ok...so my spelling's off tonight.

He went on to create other very thrilling sci-fi works. WestWorld stands out: Crichton concepted the term "computer virus" long before the Internet became a reality.

In effect, he somewhat became Jules Verne, another sci-fi visionary.

Then there's ER: the TV series. Never seen a full episode of it, but seen enough to know he's flexed his medical training and education quite impressively well.

Then....it's Jurassic Park. To this day, the novel spawned off into highly popular Universal theme park attractions. He did well with Timeline (although better production work could've been done).

I hope Michael Crichton comes out with another novella and movie block buster soon.
