It's kinda hard to do, 24/7. I can appreciate that saying as a goal to live up to, but it's not very practical. After all, life isn’t a metaphor. As such, one should not live a metaphorical life because you’ll be doing nothing new then. Everyone should live life as they see fit to live it; otherwise you’re not being true to yourself. In fact that’s the saying that I’m more likely to live by, William Shakespeare. “This above all: to thine own self be true…”

No. Because if you live each day like you're going to die at the end of it, you'll have no reason for ethics or humanity. You have no reason to be a good person or to do anything for anyone else. You'd also never clean your toilet.
Sure, you can dream as if you'll live forever, but you shouldn't only dream. You should work towards accomplishing your dreams.

That will make you a foresighter. Whenever you make a plan you have to make it for forever because you will live forever. This will make you to think from all angles such that your plan/scheme/dream never fails. Thus you will come up with stable, long lasting and good solid plans.

i dont agree with the first part. if i knew i was going to die, i wouldnt go to school (if i had it), do chores, clean anything, etc. as for the 2nd part, youre not going to live forever, so basically youll never stop dreaming. instead of dreaming about it, you should just do it.

Disagree, I think we should live as if we'll die today and dream as if we'll die today. Because it seems redundent to say live for today dream for tomorrow. if your always dreaming for tomorrow, then you wont ever do anything. Dream it and do it.

Well, I prefer another saying, it is in Arabic, i will try to give a quick translation to it's meaning.
" live and work as if you will live for ever, remember and work for Allah ( God) as if you might die tomorrow."

not really i tried that and i couldn't drink enough booze or smoke enough cigarettes to make worth wild.
