Here's the Limewire User guide pages:
http://www.limewire.com/english/content/ug49/ug_options.shtml

It provides an option where you have Limewire automatically send your files to iTunes so they will automatically upload to the iPod when you plug it in.

I think I understand your problem.

What you might not understand is that in order to get songs onto your iTunes Library, you have to import the songs from their actual FILE LOCATION. Such as, from the "My Music" folder, or wherever you keep them. I'm assuming you have Windows. You can do this either by going to File, Add File to Library, or by actually dragging music from your music folder into the iTunes Library window.

Once the songs are actually in the iTunes Library, you have to plug the iPod into a USB port. iTunes should recognize that the iPod has been plugged in and it will show up under the list of things on the left hand side of iTunes. You can then drag songs from your library and release them while your mouse is hovering over the iPod listing that popped up when you plugged in your Nano.

Good luck.

Hi man... what was said by the other answers are true... but every one of them forgot to mention one thing. After you have imported the songs and its visible in your iTunes library, and you have connected your i Pod to the computer via USB.
Firstly make that the songs that you want on your Pod is ticked on the left next to the song, then go to file or edit on the task bar in one of those files you have an option to UPDATE IPOD NOW click on that and only then will it be updating. the reason why i say so is cause the settings on the software might not have been set to update ipod automatically. IMPORTANT DO NOT DISCONNECT THE IPOD WHILST ITS UPDATING

u cannot transfer from windows media player! ive tried it says on the ipod there are no songs on there but when you plug it in it says the memorys full. if it was. plug the usb cable it came with into the usb port on the computer and if your ipod doesnt automatically update when you plug it in, right click on ipod and click update. and to reset everything on your ipod hold the middle and menu button down and the same time for a few seconds and it should clear.

To my knowledge you can't sync iPod with Media Player because the moment files are tansfered into iPod it transform into different format that can only compatible with iPod itself. You still have to use iTunes to sync with iPod.

Break it open and put the songs in.

Then return it and get your money back from Apple. Please.
