When they are few days old, you should give them special "baby" dry or granulated food, you can buy in every pet shop, or if you have bigger granulated food, you can crush it into a powder. There are also dried tubifex or water fleas in the pet shops, these can float on the surface and the tiny little fish enjoy eating them! After a while, you can try to give them living food, just go to a nearby pond and with a dense net catch some water fleas (Daphnia) or mosquito larvas or tubifex or other odd creatures living in it (except spiders). Put some plants in their tank because they can pick about them, too.
Have a good time watching as they grow up! It's a real fun and pleasure.

The very best on the market baby shrimp, you can either breed them yourself or you can buy the dry shrimp food. By feeding the live shrimp your fry grow much faster then the dry, the other type of food you can feed them is blood worms either in the morning or in the evening, that also enhances their growth. There is also something on the market called tubefix worms, it is a dry food that floats on the surface of the water or you can crumble it and it will sink slowly. Hope this helps

Live foods like baby brine shrimp, microworms or vinegar eels. They are high in protein which babies need to grow and since they are live, they swim, and the babies are more likely to chase after and eat them rather then the dried foods that just kinda sit there.

I'd definitely go with baby brineshrimp. Excellent food, but you got to feed them just after they've hatched or they lose their protein (The brineshrimp that is). Failing that i just crush my fishfood (I'm using Tetrabits) in to a very fine powder and feed them. Seems to work pretty well
