Just wondering. it seems to me it would make the news and be a big story and i have not seen any. the first gay couple to get divorced will become famous in the history books

No I am not gay. I am just curious as it may be a way to get famous as an attorney representing them.

Yes it has happened in Vermont. And no it hasn't made the couples famous. Unfortunately, the ending of a marriage--though world-shattering to the couple--is quite dull to the world at large. These divorces don't "prove" anything, either, except, sadly, that sometimes marriages fail.

It's already happened in Toronto a few years ago. Personally, I think they were doing it as a publicity stunt because they were the first ones to get a gay divorce (no pun intended) in Canada.

It's happend a few times... but no where NEAR as often as straits do.
I think the homosexual devorce rate is down bellow 5% ... unlike the 50 something % or more that heterosexual merrages have.
This isn't the kinda thing most people wana hear on the news so I think they rather avoid talking about it on the news.

Yea a couple (women) got divorced almost a year after they were wed in Canada. Can't remember their names though. And it did make news up here....not sure about in the US though.
