Ummm...yeah, that would constitute cheating. Frankly the particulars are unimportant...if you sleep with someone else, that's cheating; plain and simple.
And also, just my own particular feeling on the subject, it is WORSE to cheat out of spite than to just cheat because and fill in the blank here. I would much rather my husband cheat on me, than to pride himself on being faithful...physically, when he has been "cheating" on me with his mind; and of course visa versa. There is also fidelity of the heart...even those that have "never" cheated physically, but they look or imagine otherwise, or even worse, imagine while they're having sex with their partner is just as "bad" as cheating to me.
But either way, yes you cheated, and you did it out of spite...which makes it all the worse.
