Well JK Rowling already announced that 2 characters will die in the last book.

I'm betting on Harry and Voldemort.

If he dies it will be a shock I think to most of the readers. If Rowling does kill Harry it doesn't necessarily mean that Voldemort lives. Maybe they kill each other or something like that. You won't know til the book comes out. BTW...read the 6th book. It's great.

If Harry dies, then we can be sure that he dies because it is the only way to defeat Voldemort. It is possible that Harry has to die for Voldemort to be defeated once and for all, so he sacrifices himself to save the rest of the wizarding world. Evil will not win!

Two characters that are most likely to die in book 7? Snape and Voldemort. I suspect that Harry will be near death at the end of the book, but Snape somehow gets in the way and Snape and Voldemort die. That's fitting.

Well I think Lord Voldermort will die to. He has to if J.R. Rowling want the series of books finished. If Lord Voldermort doesn't die then you have all of Harry's friends who want to try and kill him off and the series will go on forever.
You must read Book 6 there is some interesting information pertaining to the seventh book in there. To understand book seven you must read book six that's all I am going to say on that particular matter.

Read the sixth book.
Trust me.
Do it now!
It'll make things a lot clearer.
And come to think of it, more confusing....
Just read it...

As for Harry dying? No Harry cannot die! Thats cliched, and well, just PLAIN WRONG!
I did not read these books for years, to have Harry die, at the end of it.

I don't think Voldie will survive. But according to latest news, 2 characters are going to die, so I think Voldie will be one, and the other can be anyone for example Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, Hagrid, Lupin, Snape, or Wormtail.

jk rowling hinted harry potter will die at the end of the book's installment.. the imagination is left to the author and if she lets her character die, then so be it. we are her readers.. thats about it..
