go to a fish store, petco and they have meds you have to place in the tank , you will have to remove any filtering systems you have in the tank before you place the medication in the tank , ususally for a five day period, just ask someone at the fish store and they will get you what you need usually 4 or 5 dollars

Your fish has got a fungus and if you have other fish in the tank with this fish then you will have to remove them as the water is infected with this fungus and you will spread the fungus to the other fish, then go to the pet shop and get muti for that type of fungus. You must hope that you haven't left it too long.

since it is slimy and covers the eye---it is usually the disease called velvet--go to a petstore or whatever and ask for med for treating velvet----just a reminder---TAKE the charcoal OUT of you filtering system while you treat the tank or you ware wasting your money as the charcoal affects the effect of medications--if you dont believe me---check with some professional fisheries

Andrea is right. I think thats called pop eye its a fungi and mela fix can help that...petco is cool but if youre near a petland..theyre better.
