My bf and I will be going back to Tokyo this October, and we plan to visit Puroland (Sanrio characters- mostly Hello Kitty). I'm a HUGE Hello Kitty fan and would like to know the best parts of the park, where to get the most unique, uncommon Hello Kitty items in the park? I saw that the cafeteria has kitty shaped plates--can I take that home? What else is available to take home that is free/cheap (does the toilet paper have Hello Kitty on it? :-) Anything we should skip?

♡Yes, it's not too far from my house. My nieces visit me every Summer and INSIST on going there! They love all the Sanrio characters and the best thing about it is that some items available are stamped 'FOR SALE ONLY IN JAPAN', which they love because you can't get in back in the states. You can buy your own plate sets at the gift shops, they have many to choose from:

☆Japanese Official site:

☆ENGLISH link to this site:

Everyone has a different FAVORITE part of the park! Take a look at the site and see what catches your eye the most. The gift shops have all kinds of unique things, you have to take a look at everything. (The toaster is cute!)You can spend all day there and see everything you want. If you visit during your birthday month, as my niece did, you get a FREE special birthday surprise. (Have your ID.)
☆You can buy Hello Kitty Toilet paper at SOME shops in Tokyo too, I have some at my house:

Have a great time and enjoy Puroland!♡

Yes, I have been there,
I am not a hello kitty fan, I just like some of the designs..
the only thing is the park is not really huge and limited shows and stuffs as well as restaurants.. unlike Tokyo Disneyland ..with Disney sea and Disneyland you have many choices..
as a Hello Kitty fan yourself , I guess it won't bother you what is my opinion so I suggest you to go there and have fun..
I could find some hello kitty stuffs on $$ store or Yen Shops in Japan or Chinese stores, they are everywhere,, or even the malls in Japan has lots.. for unique and uncommon Hello Kitty ..search Ebay.. or google and look for hello kitty fans that trade their stuffs.. I saw HK curtains, toilet mats, wall clocks, i guess you have that, do you?
have a nice trip..
Oh, I would be there ahead of you..might as well ask someone what's new...

Yes I first went to Hello Kitty Land when I was 7...and back then I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
As for uncommon Hello Kitty things...you can probably get them from eBay...Also, if you are Japanese, there is a Hello Kitty collectors magazine that comes every month I believe. My younger sister used to get it...a loooong time ago. They are Hello Kitty items for sale, but they are quite pricy. Go to your local library and look in the Japanese section for the magazine.

I went to the Hello Kitty store in Times Square, New York City today. Does that count for anything? If you want cheap Hello Kitty items, come to NY's Chinatown. TONS of Hello Kitty stuff, but they "might" be uh..."copies".

Tokyo is the capital of Japan, and the place where over 13 million people live, making it one of the most populous cities in the world but also, a big city to visit, find out more with hotelbye . Most of the city was devastated by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, and then again by the bombing in the WWII, however, Tokyo was able to achieve a remarkably rapid recovery both times. The main attraction of Tokyo is the Imperial Palace with its beautiful 17th-century parks surrounded by walls and moats. The palace is still in use by the Imperial family.
