Lee Germon captained the kiwis with no prior international experiences at all.No wonder he batted,bowled and kept wickets
that led coach Turner select him.
Between Smith and Tatenda, Smith had lesser experience than tatenda even though the latter became the games youngest captain ever(20 yrs 328 days).Its a irony that he is one of the youngest to retire too.(22 yrs)
Rice never captained SA.(they were not allowed to play at that time)
