authentic jersies are the real deal, numbers and everything sewn in all the way to the patches on the sleeves. exactly what the players wear. replica either do not have numbers or name or if they do they only have only color for their numbers. many teams have multiple such as the cardinals are red and navy blue. hope that helps

Replicas are normally made from double-knit polyester and have a stiff, "plasticky" feel. The logos and numbers on Authentic jerseys are stitched and multi-layered (if a number is black with a white outline, they actually use two different layers of cloth...as opposed to one piece that has been dyed). Replica jerseys usually use "iron-on" or stamped logos.

Authentic means it's exactly what the players. The material is the same and the numbers and letters are sewn on. They don't necessarly have to have a name and number. I have an authentic dodger jersey without a name and number (if you get one with a players name and number your stuck with that cause he could get traded, if you want it with a name you should get it personalized with your name). Replica means it looks like what the players wear but it's not. They're made out of cheaper material and the letters and numbers aren't sewn on.

think of the word authentic, authentic means the real deal, as in what would be worn on the field. Replica means not real, made differently then the authentic jersey, but similar
