I am with diebities,so I cant eat sweet and now salt what can I eat? I am 38 weeks

well, oddly enough the best way to get unswollen from water weight is to drink more water. only water though, pop and coffee will dehydrate you further, and even juice will not do the trick because it will sit in your digestive tract longer because of the sugars in it - thus causing it to take longer for your body to be able to absorb the liquid.

also, avoid salty foods, and sodium, as these participate in your water retention.

if your feet are swollen, try soaking them in cool water, or even jsut taking a cool bath or shower can help, and then lie down with your feet up.

Darn. I'm an RN and I was going to say that. The water actually tells your body it's okay to let go of some of it.

I know. It's weird but true she's right.
Salt absorbs 10 times it weight in water and it collects in the body. Definitly cut back on the salt. WAY back.

You could also try walking if your back is up to it.
I don't know how far along you are.

You shouldn't be trying to lose weight while pregnant, it's dangerous for your baby. Swelling is just part of being pregnant, you have to take the good with the bad. Try propping your legs up above your heart for 30 minutes 2x a day and stay away from foods that are loaded with sodium (frozen and canned are the worst), that will help some. Remember this doesn't last forever, you don't have much longer, Congrats and good luck!

Cut out caffiene, soda, sodium (salt), drink more water, eat more protein and only eat fresh food, not packaged or fast food. Talk to your OB, too much swelling in combination with high blood pressure could be a serious problem, pre-eclampsia. Put your feet up and relax with some cool ice water and try to stay off your feet when you can.
