There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

I think you feel loved by the things your partner do for you. By caring and making sure that you are happy with anything that is going on at that moment. Thinking of you, counting with you at all times makes you feel that you are someone important in his/her life. I feel that you get a better answer to this by his act rather than when he says it.

Looking for proof means that you have doubts, and if you have doubts you can never be sure, no matter how sure you get, no matter how many proof you get, its just the inner belief, you must have faith and trust that the other person loves you if he/she has said so. Dont look for proof, dont put your lover in tests, Just Love ;)

The proof is in the pudding. If they love you they will not only tell you but they will show you and you will know and feel it in your heart. I know my husband loves me just by the way he treats and loves me and how he does little things for me through the day. He is there for me no matter what even when i am moody and grumpy and he loves and holds me anyway! He loves me for me!

none. love is a strange thing. It needs no proof, it just needs to be manifested altho' sometimes, it may not even be requited.

when he will ditch his mates for me, when he is there for me when i need him. he comes running when i call,coz i need someone. when he tells me he loves me.
