do you like your partener to be cleverer than you?

as for me i don't like very clever friends..they r so proud of themselves & sometimes selfish...not all ofthem but most of them i can say 99%..am i wrong....what do you think?

yes, when the circumstance demands clever, I love a good game of wit and semantics or a quick accurate response-- and the twinkle in the eye of a dear friend whose smile after a witty comment or intervention has just made my heart soar and she or he knows I love what they have just done or said. Pride is a sin that is not becoming of the clever or strong or beautiful of affect.. Everyone suffers it a little, no matter how humble they attempt to be, or seem, but remember please, GOD knows how you are cause he made you, all of you: and He will fix the pride in due time..

it depends on the gender. normally men don't like their partners to be more intelligent because it hurts their ego. women want their husbands to be more intelligent. shun the misconception that 99% of clevers are proud. furnish your source of data to brand them as proud people. sometimes self esteem can be mistaken as proud

No I would not want my partner to be clever than I'am, because they would always have something up their sleeve or a clever scheme planned.

i like to talk to people who are smarter than I am, that way maybe i will learn something. Also it's challenging not just the same old thing over and over untill I get bored. And if you find them so high and mighty learn something they don't know and rub it in their face, most smarty assed people hate that. I know, I've done it.
