I feel lethargic and really down because they shouldn't have lost the game. I am still also angry at the ref's decision.

Yeah it was disappointing but 'Get over it already!'

Well, I too am very disappointed...

Which just means when Lucas Neill hoists the Asian Cup above his head as Captain will be so much sweeter...And after that there will be more successes to come I am 100% sure.

Sadly, in any sport where it comes down to a refs decision the players must abid by it, no matter how unjust it seems. All credit to the boys for staying on the pitch and not being petulant about it. I'm sure they have had heart-breaking calls before, though not of this scale of course. In just wearing it they showed their courage and sportsmanship.

But maintain the rage...and your faith in the lads...the best is yet to come !

Join the club, buddy. Happened to me when Mexico lost. Well, have the satisfaction that your country made it to the World Cup while other countries didn't. Just enjoy the rest of the games if you can, remember this only comes every 4yrs.

Also, enjoy the fact that Italy won't make it much farther.

I feel exactly the same way.

Why not send a well-reasoned but angry letter to FIFA about their referee regulations?

I am looking forward to the next World Cup, and following the careers of the individual team players.

Accept it and look forward to the next world cup... if they would be extremely lucky to qualify again.. besides playing in the world cup is a great achievement already for a team not expected to be there anyway.

Know how you feel.
Don't worry, it's a stoneage sport - Have they ever heard of a video ref?

Lucky that we have world's best
cricketers, swimmers, rugby players & the AFL
to make us get back that winning feeling.

Did you care about soccor before Australia got in the world cup? I suspect you didn't (I'm an Aussie too, and I have been overrun with people who suddenly care about the soccor), in which case go back to your life and focus on your chosen sport, cricket, AFL, rugby....

Yeah, I'd suggest you jump off the bandwagon or find a new team. When Brisbane Lions sucked in AFL last year I chose Sydney as my new 'favourite' team. It payed off. :D (My new favourite team is England, but I'm not sure if they can win or not. The British press seems to like canning them...)

Shoot the ref, emigrate to Brazil, take some prozac, or get a life

I think the best way is to choose one (or several) of these superb cocktail suggestions that TrueBlue received in his question from two weeks ago, and move on the the decider of the Rugby League State of Origin...
