It's great. I'd adopt it as my own motto if I didn't already have a good one.

Mine's "Thole and think on", by the way. If you don't understand it that only means you need to use the dictionary more often.

Temptation and the horrible things a human being can do to themselves or another human beings is shocking. Having a few trusted friends is better than having many acquaintances, is a motto that I tend to follow. I believe in what goes around comes around and it starts with having positive thoughts about anything and everything and trying to give out positive energy which will in-turn generate more.

It's not bad, but as far as mottos go, it doesn't give you much to chew on. How practical is that, really? Trust, but don't trust?

baldur's queen: Rather arrogant, aren't we? I have an English degree, I'm a poet, and when I write anything from email to business correspondence to poetry I use a dictionary... and I had never come upon the word, "thole". It's a good word, I'm glad to have it in my arsenal now. But really. Lose the attitude.

I think it bogus.

I think that the devil is a scapegoat, for people who can't own up to their bad decisions.

So... trust nobody because the devil is themself!
