You have to score enough points to reach the next level. And to do that, you need to answer questions, get voted as best answer, and log in regularly. Look at the points and scoring page for the whole list of what gets you points, and what doesn't.

Keep answering questions, selecting best answers, and voting for best answers.
If you answer a question that the asker selects as the best, you get another 10 points. Browse questions in categories that you are familiar with, and answer them to the best of your ability.
