Have more control. I have dealt with all types of fathers, obviously you must take into account the girls real feelings in this if they are indeterminate then you will have trouble but if she is clear in her desires you already have the first makings of a weapon to nudge the father figure aside. First you must not fear him, second you must confront him without that fear. In this way the seriousness of your intent will be clear. If he fails to be reasonable with you, well, there are always backhanded ways of dealing with a situation that can not be approached from the front. Whatever you do, remember the girls feelings are paramount. Proceed ONLY if you are certain of them.

Also do not listen to the negativity of those who would say if she is under aged that you have no options. If you care about something you fight for it, no matter what laws say about it. Parenting laws are NOT final, there ARE ways around them. I wish you luck.

If the girl no longer lives at home, you worry that you will always have to compete with dad. If he impedes the relationship and she does nothing about it, then you may have some serious issues later in life.

If the girl still lives at home, ask yourself why you are seriously involved with someone who hasn't moved out yet.

The only thing you can do is help her realize she can make up her own mind. Then her father will not have that control over her. Encourage her and be supportive when she makes any effort to think for herself. Eventually she'll break away from him, and you'll be there when she does.

Dad will have the control until daughter lets go. Understand that and make your next decision on that.

I'd start with a firm dropkick to the knee... That should severely cripple him for the remainder of the fight.

If she's under 18 you can't. If she's over 18, it's her battle.
