well as the title suggest...the are emotional. it is also evolved into a type of music that is slow but then all of the sudden fast. it usually talks about hateing your life and cutting youself. emo people tend to look somewhat gothic....or not at all. there is no set standerd its all sterotypical.

Well emo means emotionally disturbed sometimes when some on is called emo is when the where black but that's not it when someone crys or gets sad upset very easily someone may see them as a depressed loser but theirs all ways more behind what the see.Sometimes it can be caused by something that has happened in their life

emo is not how you dress. it is a style of music. so just cause you like the music or dress some certain way you are not emo!!! it is an attitude, a way of life. its an emotional thing-Emo is literally emotion.

Emo people "appear" emotionally unstable and usually cut themselves. When i say "appear" i mean internally and the way they dress... the common colors for emo is red and black, black eyeliner, dark shaggy hair, etc.

You have to have a gay haircut that covers at least one of your eyes. You always have to pose for the camera thinking 'desperate for attention'. You have to paint your nails black, and do a crappy job, also were dark makeup around your eyes, even if you're a guy. If you're a guy, you have to go and kiss other 'emo' guys, but that 'doesn't make you gay or anything'

Have you been checked by a doc to see if you have BIPOLAR MANIA? That will make you "emo". For real. Been there done that. Not fun. BIPOLAR MANIA causes mood swings.

Long bangs that cover 3/4 of their face, dark or black hair, the emotional music they listen to, and wether or not they hurt themselves.
