I am 16 im from europe, lithuania & ive lived here for 4 years/ I guess I am what you would call an "imigrant" versus a person here in the U.S. I noticed that many people say deportation & inprisonment & fines is the answer. BUt when it comes to the real person vs looking at it as a group. Could you really do it? Not everybody is from mexico not everybody is the same. & if they did all leave, who else would wanna do all the dirty jobs? So could you just deport me? I have friends here, I go to school here, I live here. So is it easier said than done? we r human beings. not dogs. & im not even from mexico.

Could you really do it?
This is a damned if you do take action or a damned if you don't take action problem here.
Not everybody is from mexico not everybody is the same. & if they did all leave, who else would wanna do all the dirty jobs?
Last time I checked 5.15 an hour really don't give you the best life even in America with out working more jobs in addition to 5.15 job you have. Americans are not too proud to work those jobs but they simply pay too little to do those jobs vs the cost of living. No pun intended but not every one can live 15+ people to a house and try to make something from nothing with those 15+ people, however, not all live like this but many live in poverty. Come on look at reality why on earth would you pay thousands to go to school to get a better paying job just to work a dirt poor job? Sure not all Americans are educated and some want easy money but there are quite a bit of Americans with an education that reflects what they should be getting paid and I know I for one would only work those jobs if I had to and right now I don't.
So could you just deport me?
I guess you will have to suck it up until they fix this problem.

Being deported is not about not being human. It is not about treating people like they are dogs. It is not about hating a certain race or group. As far as persons who do "dirty jobs" as you put it....I am not even going there. It is simply about people in the U.S. illegally and there are alot of reasons for that.
With that being said....your question is....could I deport you. Well, if it were my job to deport you, then yes I would. Even if I knew you and liked you I would. The fact is that if you are not here legally then it is your own fault that you are being deported. Why should someone feel bad about that except the person who didn't do what was required of them to stay in this country? I know all of this may sound a bit harsh, but you are making it sound like people being deported are victims. If they are victims it is of their own circumstance. If you truly love this country and want to live here....then you should become a citizen.

Personally I could not!!! Im a us citizen born and raised and had to deal with a very close realitive being put into a detention center and held without bail and no right to a hearing under the visa waiver pilot program. They wouldnt give him voluntary departure or except the families money to pay airfare because it wasnt fare to the other immigrants that had been detained longer. He was not eligible for custody bond or redetermination bond. He overstayed to take care of his brother and my two sons so i could go to work after my husband was involved in a explosion and had 80% of his body burned with 2nd and 3rd degree burns.
hes been taking care of two boys and changing bandages and showering and feeding his critically injured brother. I had to work full time to make ends meet. now i had to quit my job and dont know how we will get by without that money, because I have to be here for the kids and my husband is not able to care for them right yet because he cannot use his arms. he was cutting a 55 gallon oil drum when it blew up in his face and his arms took the brunt of it.
so there are very ligitimate circumstances due to some overstays and not all illegal immigrants or non-immigrants should face deportation when its a hardship and tearing apart family members financially and mentally.
these people who say yes deport deport deport, have no loved ones from another county and dont understand what deport does to a family and the person being deported. they have it in their heads that overstaying a visa or crossing the boarder is a criminal offence and this makes illegals criminals. Had they looked into immigration law before stateing their facts they would know that violating a visa or crossing the boarder illegally is a civil offence and the only price to pay is deportation which alot of people qualify for special waivers or status.
Illegal aliens are deported through civil proceedings not criminal unless they have been charged with a criminal offence and their time severed for sentenceing is done in a detention where the crime took place and when they fulfilled their sentences immigration has most likley issued a detainer on them so that when they servered their time they can be picked up by immigration and deported for immigrant violations.
being charged with a aggreivated felony is a violation of staus and you can become deportable which kinda means your in double jeopardy because even though you served your jail time for the crime you are now in detention for the same crime awaiting deportation which could take up to 6 months.
all deportation is doing is costing us millions for detained aliens, around $67.00 a day or more, plane fare back to the county if denied by some immigration officer at the detention thats on a authority kick, that he can say no to anything!! so keep them detained and keep deporting our jails are full and our taxes are rising and we are no safer now then we were on sept. 11!!!!
If anything we have more illegals then we ever had that have come over on the visa waiver program that gave these countries certain rights to enter the country without going through the long process of a visa filing.
the terrorists from 9/11 used the same waiver program to enter the us.

There are groups within your community that will help you stay and earn a living in the United States. One group would be your local clergy. Join and become active within your community in matters of politics, school activities, etc.
Whatever you do, don't give up. Many are on your side.

Become a citizen of the US or leave. Pretty simple, yes it is a black or white answer. This is ridiculous. You have friends, great - e-mail them.
