Recently Bill Gates and his wife have given up billions of dollars to a charity that they've founded. A few days after that Bill's friend (the second richest man in the world) gave 80% of his wealth to the same charity. Now, this is a transparent charity (which means it can be checked out at any time by anybody to make sure they're not stealing the money or anything) and has a list of issues that it aids and it sounds really bloody good.
My question is simple. For ages, average people have been wondering when the extremely wealthy will realize the opprotunity they have to make a real difference in the world. Now it seems as if some of them have gotten the message. Do you think this is some fanstastic publicity stunt, these two men are just truly exceptional or that public awareness has risen to the point that people with power and money are going to start using it to substantially help those in need?
What is your opinion on it all

So, if a man wants a pat on the back, a plaque, an oil painting or some form of recognition by having a hospital or school named after him, would it matter?
When we consider the billions of dollars Bill Gates, Ted Turner and others have given to help people around the globe, does it matter if those who donate their billions want praise?
Great job Bill, Nice going Ted, nice opera house Mr. Carnegie, terrific foundation Mr. Rockefeller...

When I was young I was put on a Girlscout event to help girls meet those who adchieved their goals" I fell "In love with what I thought was a maiterde in Toronto which actually was part of the reason for going" (The singer) Our room was far from the rest next to theirs and NOT AT ALL being into the media we had no idea who they were..Yet we were called "liers etc etc.. I recieved prank calls..I wasnt rich enough well known enough" ppl driving by my home were "to rich well-known to be seen and so much more I cant say. And after Many many yrs..I went looking for answers and watched how they all ran from me, or been called names on national tv. I even recently watched as one got pushed through the doors of a concert the minute I was seen!!! I questioned the media now for yrs! Whats it feel to be put in the middle..between celbs and the organization to which they endorse? Did they care for the one in the middle? when all I wanted was a reunion and to get back on my feet again to hold my head up high? Whats it feel to have all given taken away and to be called names by family n peers? then loose it all again. Do they care about helping others or for themselves as aperently it must of been because they run like a game of cat n mouse and noone but.. Mr henson who left me this message "Not all are the same, Im sorry for what happened" and of course , The tonight show with Jay Leno had some good points in Truth in advertising" How true is it when they mislable records! Maybe not all are the same..But Im looking for answers on this as well... Id say PROVE IT TO ME! But im praying those words are correct. Maybe not all are the same but im leary!

their geting older & realising you cant take your money with you after you die. Im sure theive got everything they could ever want or wish for as well as money for their kids & family. So theres no point for them having all this money just siting in their banks when it could do good for somebody else.
