"If a man commits adultery with another man's wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death."
Leviticus 20:10

I'm a Roman Catholic and I don't believe in this excerpt from the Holy Bible. I understand that this is a touchy subject, but please refrain outrage from taking over. I believe that, as mature adults, we can discuss this subject. Do you believe or disbelieve Leviticus' offerings?

Well, speaking from the past, it's not right to kill someone for sinning because whoever is doing the killing isn't without sin. But speaking in the present. If you ever saw your wife with another man, your first human instinct is to get rid of the guy she's with and then get rid of her because she now has eyes for other men. Basically since both the female adulterer and the male adulterer can't be trusted anymore, back then they would have to be put to death. But since Jesus came and set those people's mentalities straight, it now became a warning. And that's one of many purposes of Jesus being born which was to DIMINISH judgement that came from the Old Testament.

It would solve the population problem lol. Seriously though, it's nonsense. Adultery is the breach of a promise of fidelity.
You cannot start punishing people by death for breaching promises. If you advocated that, then you'd have to rank promises in order of importance or relevance (i.e. greater harm principle, etc.)
Example: A president promises to serve the people of his country. Then he starts a war and innocent people get killed. Should he be put to death? Was his breach of his promise to serve the people any less relevant than a man/woman's promise of fidelity? Which caused the greater suffering?

If you are going to try and stick this sinful world to all of the thing that are in the bible, we are all hell bound. the bible is so confusing, that even Jesus changed his mind. There are 10 commandments in the old test, in the new Jesus said the only commandment is to love one to another. In the bible in you look at a woman with a "lustful look" you should pluck out you own eyes, there would be a whole lot of men in the strip club blind as bats...hahaha....

That's from the old testament. If you are roman catholic, you believe in Jesus, and so you should know that is why God sent Jesus to earth in the first place. To forgive us for our sins, and yes that even means adultery.

That verse you quote is from a different time or Era. We live under the Grace and that was under the Law (Eye for and eye kind of times). Things are different and the Bible addresses other aproaches. Research so you can learn:)

The bible was written by man...only God has the right/power to take the life of another human being....and no, God did not come up with this one. Jesus came here to teach us, his goal was to educate us and straighten things out and of course, man screwed this up too!! (humans can f**k up a free cup of coffee sometimes!!) No, I don't think anyone should die for this.
