It's gonna be a toss up between the Oakland A's and the Texas Rangers. In the end, the A's will win.

The AL West is in such disarray this year. But one thing that remains the same is the competitive balance. Once again, the division probably won't be decided until the last week of the season. I think that when all is said and done the Oakland A's will be crowned champions. They are the most solid team from top to bottom. Starting pitching has a good nucleus with Zito, Haren, Blanton, and Loaiza. Toss Rich Harden into the mix once he gets healthy and they become even better. Middle relief is set up with Justin Duchscherer, and the game is closed out by 2005 Rookie of the Year Houston Street. The lineup is nothing spectacular, but gets the job done. The additions of Frank Thomas and Milton Bradley have given them a little more offensive pop.
I would say Anaheim will finish second. They have good pitching with Bartolo Colon anchoring the staff. Rumor has it, though, that Jeff Weaver may be dealt in order to make room for his brother Jared.
Texas has had an excellent start to the season, but I see them fading as time wears on.
And Seattle just doesn't have quite enough talent as they attempt to rebuild.
I wouldn't be surprised to see 10 to 12 games separating the first and last place finisher this year.

Oakland will win the AL West. They typically play better after the all star break and they're in 1st place in their division right now.

I think it could be anyone.
The Rangers have a shot, as do The Hollywood Angels of Anihiem.
Probably Oaklnad though.
Not that it really matters because whoever it is will NOT get past The Divisional Series.

A's may be like the Padres last year and be the only team in the division with a winning record.

Los Angeles Angels, i know thy've struggled all season but thy starting to pick it up. all they need is to trade 4 a big bat at the trade deadline, say Carlos Lee or Aubrey Huff and call back up Jered Weaver and trade Jeff, but thy will win it by a game or 2 ovr the A's.

I assume you mean the American League West. "My" A's are turning it on again so barring any more injuries to the pitching staff, I'll go with Oakland.
