Finally someone that is honest and does not "cry" on injustice and similar bs.
You are perfectly right: Viduka should have been substituted as soon as the (illegitimate) red card was given to Materazzi. Hiddink continued to play with five midfielder (against three of Italy) that had superior possession of the ball, but they were too slow and not efficient on penetrate the Italian defense, because the only striker (Viduka) was perfectly controlled by Cannavaro. Hiddink should have replace Viduka and allowed even another striker to be on the field.
btw: I am Italian, but I like soccer and I like to watch the game without being biased.

Viduka was way too slow n should have been replaced in the 2nd half sometime. I think Hiddink was thinking into extra time to bring Kennedy on

Viduka holds up the ball while others run into the box. Kennedy wasnt on because we had no wide players to cross the ball into the box so he could head in. Also everyone thought it was gong into extra time and he would have come on then.

It was a penalty choice, no I mean real penalties in the shoot out, not that complete farce of an oscar award that decided the game in the end! Viduka is a better at place kicks!
