Yes. And I explain the diversity between people in the world the same way I describe the diversity between my siblings and I. Even "Identical" twins can be VERY different.

Relatively speaking sure we descended from Adam and Eva. That is to say there was an initial Homo sapien that humanity descended from.
How is it that there are so many different people you ask.
Two answers depending on whether you are a creationist or an evolutionist.
The creationist would give some answer relating to Noah and his three sons (whose names I do not remember right now)
The story goes something like this:
One day Noah (after the flood) got very drunk and passed out. One of the sons found him naked and told the others of his condition (he ended up being cursed and is the black sheep of the family and father of the negreos) the other two sons decided to place a blanket over their father (Noah) by walking backward and therefore not seeing their father naked. One looked sideways (He became the father of the Orientals the other the father of the Caucasians.
The other explanation:
Differing conditions promoted different traits (evolution)
Rather simplistic and OBVIOUSLY to simple an answer to have any merit.
Third possible answer : A whole lot of interbreeding which would go a long way in explaining the whole human condition.

Great question ! No I do not think Adam and Eve were the only couple ... I do not think the world was complex enough to have the concept of Monogamy at that time...
Also the environmental circumstances has ruled the traits of the people of a particular region .. when they mixed that helped diversity

I do not believe all people decended from Adam and Eve. Speaking strictly within the literature of the Old Testament, Adam and Even had two sons, Cain and Able-and both of these sons took wives, however where these wives came from is never explained, and there is no mention that these wives were their sisters as well. Therefor there must have been other people on earth as well. Also, we know from genetics that if people reproduce within their own families, there are genetic mutations and often times mental retardation. If Adam and Eve and their decendents were forced to keep it in the family out of default of no other humans, we wouldn't be a very successful species.

Well, i think that if there is any diversity between people in the wold today, this has absolutly nothing to do whith our first parents Adam and Eva;because in my opinion, diversity is not differency;its just the result of our subjective imagination.

The genetic potential for everyone who has ever lived was in the genes of Adam and Eve. Before sin, people would not have become as diverse as we are now because sin introduced a different king of selection process. We tend to form biases based on differences. So people with a darker complexion, for instance, tend to congregate with one another. After a few generations of this, you get what is known as a genetic fixation for that trait.

It's interesting that those who believe in Adam and Eve will then use the mechanisms of evolution (mutation, adaptation, etc) to create the diversity that now exists. Why not just admit that we evolved just like everything. We are not the "pinnacle of creation" we are just another life form on this planet. If we can admit that and start looking at ways to live as part of the community of life, then we have a chance at survival. As long as we think we are exempt from the laws governing all life on this planet we are doomed.

The answer may not be one you have heard before.
Adam and Eve were not only the names of a Man and Women. It was the name given to all the races of man. The diversity was due to the soil. The color of the soil determined the color of the human skin. You will find some of that answer in " The Book of Urantia "

Put this in your brains and think about it: Here's one assumption: Adam and Eve were of an intelligent race of people, the Africans. Can you explain why the entire continent of Africa was raped? Can you explain why the sphinx were built with African hands? Now, the diversity came about due to English scouts being sent out to discover other lands and these English could not keep their hands off the African Queens and thus mixed children were born. Now that I have your attention..... God made man and woman and they multiplied, their children mixed with other ethnics and so on and so on...

When the Flying Spaghetti Monster (Blessed Be His Noodley Appendages) made us all, He decided that it was not right that all of us should be marinara. Some should be prima vera, some should be alfredo (Blessings Be Unto Alfred the Great). And so it was.
Some were born with balls of meat. Some were born veggie, but all were Blessed in His sight.
You must not spurn people of the Earth just because of some onion or garlic differences. The Flying Spaghetti Monster loves all of us!
Click on the link below and read the truth. We are insisting it be taught in schools since we believe in Creationism just like the Republicans say we should.
