My dad has an old monopoly game and instead of the car and shoe and stuff it has little painted wooden pieces that came with it! And on the instruction booklet it shows the car and shoe etc in the picture of the game on the front page. Has anybody else ever seen a set like this? Is it significant?

Hmm, his board isn't raised or anything like gippy's husband's board. That sounds interesting!

Why would the instruction book have a picture with the shoe, car etc and not the wooden figures?

i've seen them. And just looked them up on ebay. They are just an older version. Not worth much, other than sentimental value that you have something from such a long time ago. They seem to be from about 1935.

Yes my husband has one! The board is bigger and raised up. It's a wooden game and you keep your money in drawers
