Caning should never be used on anyone. But a child must be discipline and there are many ways to do it without resorting to caning. Time outs are good, a spank on the behind is another method but should be kept to a minimum.

The thing to remember is that your child should have house rules and they must be maintained by both parents. Consistency is the key and a child must know why he or she is being disciplined. And don't ever shout at the child. Just lower your voice, make eye contact and dole out the discipline in a serious manner.

CANING? WHAT THE F*** DUDE? Spanking is one thing but CANING? Especially not YOUNG children. What kind of sick bastard would do that to a baby? Anyone who would do such a thing should have that Cane shoved where the sun don't shine.

talk about a cane, I remember when I went to the vice principle's office for a swat on the behind with a big square board with holes in it for good measure. One thing for sure, it made you think twice before you did anything that could get you sent to that
office again!!!!!!

it depends on ur orientation..discipline usually entails a lot of consideration..the use of cane is not relative..it will work to others but not to all of us..however, think of some ways to discipline young children with the use of "diplomacy"..

If you can't handle a small being like a child .You should go out and check your IQ.
Spanking ? why not find some one of your own size and try to get physical with him or her.You can prove your point there.

It is perverse sadistic child abuse and assault and should be prosecuted as such.
It is also demonstrably worthless as an instrument of discipline.
