I use a teracota pot filled with water and mud to grow lotus plants. But mosquitos keep breeding in the water. I live in Sri Lanka and it's hard to find any biological agents that stop mosquiti breeding. Does anyone know any way I can stop this ?

I also have a pond and have never had trouble with mosquito
larvae because our pond is full of fish. Fish love larvae and
it also is a very environmentally friendly way of getting rid of
them and feeding the fish at the same time.
Mosquito fish are small and will fit in the pot (they are very hardy)
Goldfish also like eating mosquito larvae but your pot would
have to be quite large to house them.

2 pronged attitude - Mosquito fish - Gambusia, some call them minnows. i do no longer know approximately 19 cents. in AZ, they value us $2-3 each and we'd desire to constantly look after them after air freighting 3 hundred at a time. the different is BT - there are various kinds, however the mosquito dunks are pressed into donuts so which you would be able to cord them into the water flow, or the granules - a a million/2 cup in an previous pair of panty hose, returned interior the water flow. in case you have a extreme infestation and get admission to to the two, use them to start, The BT is robust for 60 days or so and by employing then the gambusia inhabitants will set in. i might get a million consistent with one hundred gallons, minimum 4. they are able to reproduce straight away and then supply up whilst there is adequate. in comparison to human beings. the two artwork on larvae and the fish can nail an grownup if it desires to. something of the adults will purely might desire to stay their life cycle as there is no longer something i know of that kills adults yet no longer harm fish, good luck
