If it is flying around in the air, you need to throw a towel over it and it will fall to the ground. BUT, if you wake up and discover the bat in the room, or if the bat was in the room with someone sleeping, or found in the room with a baby or someone else that can't tell you if it was bitten, you need to contact your animal control officer and have it checked for rabies!!!!!!!!!

With a "bat bat". Seriously .. we have a badminton racket that we use for it at work. There are a buttload of bats in the middle of the night, so we use the bat bat to smack em with. Some of them are kinda kamakazi ...
Your best bet is to get a racket, and when it's mid air, smack it. Get some gloves, pick it up, and run like hell. A box works too. Either way, get it out of the house. They are infested with all sorts of nasty things.

Best thing you can do is try and catch it in a paper bag or a sheet. Sometimes if you just open enough windows and chase them around they'll find the window by accident.

i am told before that bats are blind....
they only have there sense of hearing...
so...just tip toe....spray something on it and yeah... try ,it, might work....
why do you have a bat in your house in the first place!!!!!!!?????

My dad would always get the broom and beat it to death then pick it up on the broom and throw it out.

i used moth balls and it became weak on the floor and i put a basket over it until it started to stink didn't know what else to do
