Start walking.
You have to start somewhere. Walk for 50 feet and back if you can't walk any more than that. Do that until you can walk 100 feet and back.
Do it everyday. Even on rainy days. Soon you will be walking a 1/4 mile every day, getting back some energy, and feel better.
In the meantime, don't eat junk. Healthy non-processed food only. You don't have to turn into some kind of health freak, eating only vegan food. Just get rid of the junk food, extra helpings of crap, and all soda.

Don't ever say you've tried everything. If you are still overweight you havn't. Just try to get up and exercise a bit and then more until you're strong enough. Eat healthier than usual. Just don't sit on the couch eating donuts and run around the room once, expecting to lose a great amount of weight and then say "GAH! I've tried it all why isn't it WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". For exercise, I'd suggest running at least a mile every day, or swimming about that distance too. For food, put down the donuts and chips. Pick up the tomatoes and asparagus. TRY LETTUCE WITHOUT ALL THOSE CRAPPY FATTY DRESSINGS!!!!! Put in some cucumbers and tomatoes and use vegetable oil and vinegar. :) I hope this works out.

If you smoke, stop.
Besides that, drinking lots of water will help curb appetite. If you have a dog, take it on a walk (as all dogs need walks). If you have a spouse, go walking with him or her (as it will help with bonding). Clean out all of the junk food in your kitchen and fill it with good, wholesome foods. Don't get kid's cereal either, or anythign with added sugar. Don't get non fat yogurt, as they usually add more sugar to it with counteracts it... if you can tolerate- get plain yogurt. Plain yogurt with granola and fruit is a yummy treat/breakfast!
As far as stamina goes... working out IS hard to do.. Just walk as long as you can. Then take a break if you need it.. but keep walkign everyday! If I were you, I would walk as logn as you could.. even if that is that is a couple minutes... several times a day! Over time you should be able to last longer, and increase stamina.
Don't eat too many animal products. Americans especially are obsessed with meat and dairy. Meat a few times a week... okay... Meat for every meal every day... NO!

Have you consider gastric bypass? I've known a few people both men and women that had success with this. In fact you are close in hieght and age to my boss that had this. She weighed about 270 before the surgery and goes about 135 now. I know that if you have this it is still a constant battle to keep it off. Calls for life style changes. Most medical insurance will cover this surgery. You can also diet on your own watching calories and fat grams. Lots of walking. One must always burn more calories than they consume. Good Luck.

You just have to start out slow and build up your strength and stamina. Start by walking around your house if you need to, then start taking short walks outside. Eat healthy - lots of fruits and vegetables - and drink plenty of water. You'll start noticing a difference! That difference will hopefully motivate you to keep on going. Good luck and be well!

You need to walk even if its just a few yards. the next day go a little further and each day add on a little more. each journey begins with the first step!
and you have to start counting calories. you won't lose weight until you burn more calories than you take in. good luck

The post above me is excellent.
You might also try a good iron/vitamin supplement if you aren't taking one. Low iron will make you sluggish and low energy.

well first off, it can either be menopause, it causes weekness, or you probably need multivitamins, but before you fo there you need to seek a profesional opinion, so go to your pcp and get checked. I wish you the best, and i hope its nothing.
