Hmm. Don't know what to say, as this isn't really a question. I always knew Harper Lee was a woman though.

Harper Lee was said to base her character DILL in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, after her childhood friend, fellow author TRUMAN CAPOTE, I would ask if this was true, and did she base the character SCOUT after herself. Also, what is her favorite book? I loved her book so much that my daughters middle name is Harper

That just might be a "Southern thing." Or it could be from using family names as given names (which may or may not be somewhat more-common in The South).
Think "Parker Posey": This is a very feminine actress with a very ambiguous name--probably derived from an ancestral family name.
Also, did you know that Leslie and Beverly can be MEN'S names? It is TRUE!

You should rent the movie "Capote" she was good friends with fellow author Truman Capote in real life, and has a large role in the story.
